Uttarashada Nakshatra
Who is Uttarashadha?
A VIRTUOUS AND VICTORIOUS LEADER
You
are a righteous leader who guides all humanity to victory. You are ambitious
and powerful, while remaining very respectful, reasonable and kind. You are a
royal being who has a true sense of morality, fairness and moderation. You are
also fun-loving and nurturing, but at the same time, practical and steady. You
are just like a well-rounded teacher, who can see when to be praising and when
to be strict to bring out the best in your students. The ruling deities are the
Vishvadevas, the Ten Universal Gods. They suggest the strong virtuous qualities
that come from the core of your being. You are an introspective soul, who is
strongly grounded in truth. You always utilize your discerning mind to be in
line with the higher power, which makes you a promoter and protector of
goodness in yourself, others and society. Uttarashada’s symbol is an elephant
tusk, which signifies strong leadership and determination to achieve success.
It is also related to Ganesha, who gives blessings to all beginnings. You are a
pioneer who has the patience to nurture the seeds you have sown, and often
exceed in the field or a cause that you commit yourself to. You can also
sacrifice yourself for a bigger purpose, which makes you truly brave and
heroic. You respect tradition and universal law, but you are also an
independent thinker who is original and creative while manifesting your goals.
Uttarashadha is ruled by the Sun and lies in Sagittarius and Capricorn, ruled
by Jupiter and Saturn respectively. You can take on too much responsibility,
become workaholic and ignore your own well-being. You can also be an extreme
idealist, who cannot stand anything but what you think is right. You become
harsh when you see something immoral or wrong, ignoring your own shortcomings.
The most important advice to you is to be accepting and loving even when things
are not perfect. Be a teacher to all and bring everyone to the higher truth!

Uttarashadha’s symbol is an Elephant’s Tusk and it is associated with Lord Ganesha, the remover of obstacles. Ganesha broke his tusk to write the Vedas and Puranas as Srila Vyasadeva dictated them. We also chant mantras to Ganesha before doing astrological readings as he is the patron demigod of Astrology.
