Shatabisha Nakshatra

Shatabisha people are some of the most powerful healers and problem solvers of the Nakshatras.
When the Moon is in Shatabisha:
Shatabisha means “a hundred physicians” and its presiding deity is Varuna, the God of the Ocean, indicating its connection to healing and rejuvenation. This is the time to take care of yourself: visit doctors or healers; take supplements; go on a vacation especially by the ocean; practice yoga asanas; learn Ayurvedic or other natural methods of healing etc. It is symbolized by a circle, representing the law of nature, the cycle of birth and death, and solitude. It is also said to be a “Veiling Star” which makes this Nakshatra a great time to be introspective and uncover what is hidden: chant and meditate; take a day off to be reflective; go on a trip; study Astrology or any mystical subjects etc. Rahu is the ruler of this Nakshatra and it lies within the sign of Capricorn, ruled by Saturn. It is extremely good for all things connected with business, and also things involving keen calculations and insights: sign or negotiate contracts; deal with land and property; approach the media to promote your business etc. It is a good Nakshatra to escape with your lover and enjoy an intimate time together. Uncover the hidden aspects of life; fortify and rejuvenate yourself!
Footnote
It is very intriguing that the ruling planet of the Nakshatra is Rahu and the ruler of the sign is Saturn. The planet of insatiable desires under the influence of Structure, discipline and determination. I consider this Nakshatra perfect for fulfilling any desires, especially for profit, adoration and distinction in an organized and systematic manner. You should remember though, those are the last snares of Maya!
Who is Shatabisha?”
You are the independent seer of truth. Like “A hundred physicians”, you are able to scientifically and rationally look at the situation, pinpoint the problems and come up with solutions. In another words, you are able to see the truth and help others see the truth under any circumstances. The symbol, a circle is very mystical and often connected with life, death and rebirth. Therefore, you are very philosophical and are able to look at life objectively. At the bottom of your heart, you know this life is just a series of illusions. You are a noble being hiding the treasure in your heart, which makes you even more mysterious. You don’t talk about yourself much, but you might surprise people by stating the truth abruptly. Inside you is a non-judgmental, vulnerable and all loving child-like being. You want to help everyone to rise higher, and indeed, you have a keen intuition, healing power and charisma to do so. Shatabisha is ruled by Rahu, and lies in the Aquarius, ruled by Saturn. This could make it hard to share your true emotions and therefore could lead you to depression. Be careful not to be addicted to Rahu like substances, such as drugs, sex and alcohol! The best advice for you is to share your thoughts and keen insights though writing or other means of self-expression and have at least one friend who you can show your heart. Share the jewel in your heart and let the truth be known to the world!

Sacred Energy /Remedy : Thiruppuhaloor gracious Karundhaarkuzhai Samedha Sri Agneeswarar Temple
The temple associated with Shatabhisha star is located at Thiruppuhaloor in the Thanjavur District of Tamil Nadu, India. This temple called the Gracious Karundhaarkuzhai Samedha Sri Agneeswarar Temple has divine energy capable of revealing the past, present and future.
Those people born under Shatabhisha star should anoint Lord Shiva, named Sri Agnesswarar, with sesame (gingili) oil and sandal paste on Shatabhisha star day, especially if it falls on Saturday. It is also auspicious to perform abhishehkam, archana and a fire ritual. Conducting these rituals will bring healing for illnesses. Worshipping at this temple also provides assistance to overcome problems cause by the influence of Saturn.
It is favorable to light sesame (gingili) oil lamps in the shape of a crescent and offer food made of rice and milk. It is also beneficial to partake in charity work or philanthropy. Those people born under different stars may also perform abhishekham and archana and ask for the Grace of Lord Shiva. It is especially powerful on Shatabhisha day during the month of Chittirai (April 15- May 14). Visiting this temple brings blessings of good health and longevity.
It is believed that the first Sandal tree originated on Shatabhisha star. It is considered an auspicious service to grind the sandalwood with one’s own hands. A person can anoint the deity with this sandal paste and ask for peace of mind and spiritual knowledge. If sandal paste is given as prasadham and applied to the forehead it will reduce anxiety and provide divine energies
